Get to Know Your Flow

SACRED RHYTHMS VIDEO

This is a deep dive into the "inner seasons" of the menstrual cycle, how a womxn's cycle is connected to the moon, and how to optimize the energy of each cycle. Everything in Nature has a resting time, a seed planting time, a blooming time, and a time for letting go. We are the same. Each month, individuals who bleed move through four different phases (inner seasons) of your menstrual cycle. During this workshop, we'll explore each of these inner seasons and deep dive into practical ways to apply their unique essences into your daily life. By honoring the ebbs and flows of your energy you amplify your ability to create in a more joyful way. For entrepreneurs, do you know which time in your cycle is best for networking, client calls, managing your books, and resting? Tune in to explore.

This is a workshop co-facilitated with my friend Kristy G (@kristy.teal). We support mamas in the making via bi-annual Conscious Conception Group Containers. Check out our work here.

KIRTAN KRIYA MEDITATION

This is an 11-minute meditation that supports the regulation of the menstrual cycle, hormone balance, improves memory and focus, and decreases feelings of brain fog. If you're new to the practice or interested in the science behind how it works, tune into the whole recording. If you want to jump straight to the practice, it starts around minute 10:40.

Fun Fact: Among many institutions, Harvard is doing research on the impact of this meditation and its positive impact to Alzheimer's patients. Check out articles from Alzheimers Research and Prevention Foundation and Psychology Today about Brain Health & Longevity.

MONTHLY CYCLE REFLECTION & PLANNING

There are a variety of different ways to track your cycle. I'm a fan of having a tangible calendar to note down self care rituals I loved, feelings or mood shifts, needs noticed, ideas of inspiration, synchronicities, ideas or plans, etc. Others I know use the "notes" app on their phone, or update pivotal times of their cycle on their google calendar. Play around with what works for you. As you start to understand your own energy map as it relates to the astrological weather. I recommend taking note in some way of when your cycle begins and ends, when you feel like you have the most energy, and when you need the most amount of space.

Typically there is a period when we crave:

  • limited workload and rest
  • inspiration and nourishment
  • a busier schedule with satisfying work, productive activity, and social events
  • discernment, reflection, and celebration

FOLLICULAR PHASE FOCUS (2024)

Last year (2023), this group naturally explored our personal relationship with rest. The numerology of 2023 was that of a day at the spa and upgrades. This year, the numerology of 2024 points to the le this is a yearlong exploration of the entire cycle and uncovering the rhythms and patterns of your personal lunar flow --- as a group, we will have a particular focus on the follicular phase (the building phase).
